However, if you plan to play other games, you may want to go up to at least 16 gb. It's much lighter weight and stays just as cool when gaming.Ībout the RAM, if you are only playing Sims 3, then 8gb is fine. I also currently own a top of the line Alienware laptop and I much prefer the MSI. I currently own a MSI GE66 and have been very happy with it.

Another plus with the MSI is that most of them are built so that you can easily open them and add an additional ssd and additional RAM. MSI is known to be one of the better laptops when it comes to cooling. There's nothing wrong with either laptop you're considering, however, you can upgrade to an i7 with the same graphics cards and ssd for around the same cost if you go with an MSI brand computer.

I just need a great gaming laptop that's not going to overheat or give me any problems in the future. I would like to know if anyone could tell me which one would be better or if there are other gaming laptops I should take a look at that would perform better than these two? I know that a gtx 1660ti would be than a 1650ti but the Asus TUF laptop seems a bit more better built than the HP, but I could be wrong. The other is a 2020 Asus TUF F15, 15.6 inch premium gaming laptop with intel quad core i5- 10300H, 8gb of ram, 512 gb of ssd and a gtx 1650ti with a rgb backlit keyboard for 850 bucks on amazon. One of them is a HP pavilion, 16.1 inch gaming laptop with a gtx 1660ti, intel core i5-10300H and 512 gb of ssd with 8 gb of ram for 900 bucks on amazon.

Right now I have two gaming laptops that I'm considering, but I don't know which one to choose from. I would like to play the game on high settings with reshade and a whole lot of mods and CC without any lag or crashes if possible. I have a budget round a 1000 bucks to buy a new gaming laptop for the sims 3.
